Paper
Printer
Scissors
Tokens or small items to use for covering letters on the playing mat

Playing This Fun Fall Literacy Game

For this game, you will need some tokens to use for covering the letters. This can be any small manipulative – pompoms, buttons, beads, mini erasers or anything you have, really!

Print out the 2 colored playing mats with letters. You can stick them into a file folder or laminate them if using on a classroom table. Print out the sheets with letters and cut them up into individual cards.

Pick each letter card up one at a time and have your child find the letter on the playing mat.

This letter recognition game continues until all letters have been found and covered.
