Playing This Fun Number Recognition Game

Print out and laminate the mats.

Choose the one that’s appropriate for your student’s age and skill level.

Provide some small tokens they can use to cover up the numbers.

The game itself is easy. Roll the dice and find the corresponding number on the playing mat. Place a token to cover it and keep going until all numbers are covered.

For older kids, roll 2 dice and add up the total. Cover that number on the 2nd playing mat and keep going until all numbers have been covered.

In our house, we used little playdough balls as tokens. I told my son that the numbers were ‘holes’ in the wall that needed to be filled up otherwise the wall would crack, crumble and Humpty Dumpty would fall down!
